I am big fan of the centre Speedo binnacle, so much so I decided to get one made out of Carbon fibre by Carbon Weezel.

These brackets can be purchased from an American company for around £200 imported however, I thought I would make my own.
I have also fabricated an internal bonnet catch system using some sheet metal and a boot release mechanism from a Ford Fiesta.
The primary reason for the removal of the 998 engine was to initially replace it with a 1275 engine and also I wanted to overhaul the engine bay. The starting point was in a sorry state.
It was quite some time ago when I removed the old 998 engine but its worth me showing how I did it.
Here are a few pictures of the car showing the condition before I started the rebuild. I drove the car around for approx 6 months like this before I decided to pull it off the road and strip it down.
